What Is Respite?
Respite Care is provided to families of children with disabilities for temporary, short-term relief from the responsibilities of daily care.

Why Use Respite Care?
Respite Care can be used so that caregivers may run errands, visit friends, attend support groups or conferences or just an afternoon or evening out.

What are the benefits of using Respite Care?
The benefits of respite care are numerous and include reducing stress on families and improved caregiving.

What does Respite offer?
Respite provides a safe place with qualified, loving staff that understand the needs of not only children with disabilities but the ones who care for them. Respite is equipped with many activities including a playground and arts & crafts centers.

What is the cost of Respite?
This program is run at no cost to the parents. All we ask is that you provide lunch or dinner for your child.

What hours is Respite open?
Respite is open:

Every Tuesday & Thursday 4:00 – 8:30 pm
Two Saturdays a month 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
First Friday of each month from 5:30-10:30 pm for “Date Night”

Please Note: Reservations are required and must be called in on Monday for the week or made at the last visit of the week before. Failure to call for a reservation can result in your child losing the privilege to attend the Respite program as staffing is on a “needs” basis.
